Japanese Municipal elections Dataset (JMED)
This original dataset includes detailed information on nearly 250,000 mayoral and municipal assembly candidates competing in over 20,000 elections in Japan from 1999 to 2025. In addition to data on municipality characteristics and election outcomes, it includes candidate names, age, gender, party affiliation, and incumbency status.
